Post-Offering Prayer (Friday Vigil – 16/05/25) – Never Give Up On Your Prayers
As we’re coming, we remember what we were told: to keep on praying and to continue to talk to God (Luke 11: 5-9; Luke 18: 1; Romans 12: 12; 1 Thesaalonians 5: 17). If you read what was written in Exodus, when God called Moses, He said, “I have heard the prayers of My people because of their oppressors and I have now come to deliver them” (Exodus 2: 23-25; Exodus 3: 7-10). God cannot fail to answer our prayers.
He said, “It’s a righteous thing for God to punish with tribulation those who trouble us” (1 Thessalonians 1: 6). I can assure you, there’s an answer on the way (Isaiah 65: 24; Matthew 6: 6; Matthew 21: 22; John 16: 24). Our God cannot fail.
So you said, “I have prayed! You know I’m tired!” Maybe you didn’t watch the drama of the Children. The Unjust Judge was something else! I looked at the young man, the way he was acting. I had to clear myself to know whether that was still Eziuloh’s child, Jedidiah or someone else! You saw him taking his position as the judge. Then, look at ‘Dinma, how she dressed like one Mama from somewhere and she would come and stay on the step.
“We’ve told you to go!” (they would say) and she would agree. But when they move, she’d stay there.
The part that really got me was when she went to his (the judge’s) house. Ah, ah! So she had to find out the house of the judge! And as he’s opening the gate (he’s hearing), “O wu ka mu lote gi ifem gwara gi.” Hey, the man was really wearied!
Now, as we were given Isaiah (62: 1, 7) this evening, give the Lord no rest and take no rest until He acts on our behalf, I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT GOD IS PREPARING AN ANSWER FOR US.
He was the One who told Moses, ‘I have seen and I have heard and I’ve come down to deliver them from their oppressors.’
Our Father, we thank You for whom You are in our lives. Thank You because it’s Your counsel that shall stand (Psalm 33: 21; Proverbs 19: 21; Isaiah 44: 28). Man is not God. It’s only what You say that will be. We thank You, O God because You’re a promise keeper (Psalm 105: 8-10; Jeremiah 1: 12; Hebrews 10: 23). You’re a God of righteousness and a God of truth (Psalm 97: 2b; Psalm 119: 137, 151, 160; Isaiah 45: 19).
Man may act like Pharoah and Nebuchadnezzar and all of them that we’ve read about in the Bible (1 King’s 21: 5-7, 19-23; Psalm 71: 36: 6a; Psalm 71: 19; Isaiah 37: 6-7, 36-38; Acts 5: 16-23; Acts 12: 1-4, 6-11) but ultimately, the counsel of the Lord shall stand (2 Chronicles 36: 22-23; Ezra 1: 1-3; Isaiah 46: 10-11). It’s that counsel, in the prayers we have made tonight, that shall be.
We’re looking unto You for healing, for restoration, for (fulfillment of) promises that You have made.
Father, we thank You for our nation.
Thank You for those standing for what they have given to You, their token of their affection, and all of us who gave You an offering tonight.
Bless Your people and continue to prosper Your church, Amazing Love Assembly (Proverbs 27: 18; Acts1: 14; Acts 4: 31-34; Romans 16: 19).
We’re so grateful that You’ve kept us by Your mighty hand and kept us on the narrow way (Exodus 15: 6; Psalm 73: 23; Isaiah 41: 10, 13; 2 Corinthians 7: 1; Hebrews 12: 14).
Continue to keep us (Psalm 121: 4-5, 7-8), O God, for in Jesus’ name we pray.
